OUR PROJECTS
As Michigan's only student organization emphasizing a profession in theme parks, we pride ourselves with all of the opportunities, people, and places we can offer members! Below is a constantly updating list of projects we partake in- past, present, and future.

Haunted Houses
Every fall, our club ideates and fully fabricates a haunted house that hosts over 1,800 visitors. Past themes include Nightstalkers, Stranger Things, and Haunted Museum.

Design Competitions
We compete in several different theme park design competitions including the Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) Thrill Design Competition and the Ride Engineering Competition. All members, no matter their discipline, have the opportunity to participate.

Escape Rooms
TPED hosts an annual escape room during winter semester for University students. Experience times, capacities, and puzzles vary by year and theme. Past themes include Battle of the Banners, Phantom of the Big House, Escape the Game Show, and Pokémon.

Outreach
One volunteer project included collaborating with the Ann Arbor Girl Scouts to earn their Design Badge​. Additionally, in winter 2026, our club presented about themed entertainment and hosted a mini design competition for Thurston Elementary students and Girl Scouts.
